How to submit RFQ

A request for quotation (RFQ) is a business process in which a company or public entity requests a quote from a supplier for the purchase of specific products or services. RFQ generally means the same thing as Call for bids and Invitation for bid. An RFQ typically involves more than the price per item

Choose a product from our marketplace then add to cart and submit for quote, seller will contact you, after  agreement between seller and buyer, seller can update the order to pending payment ,with this update buyer can pay for product in order page

Buying Items

Search for a product by category, brands or by using the search bar, find your product, add to cart by submitting RFQ, check out by filling in billing, shipping information along with the destination for shipping. every order will be on quote request

If you are not happy with your order, contact the seller for consideration or to call the order

Resolving Buying Problems

If your item hasn’t arrived, you’re protected by the Boleum Marketplace Money Back Guarantee and can ask the seller for a refund. Some sellers may also be able to send you out a replacement item, if they have one.

Check your item’s delivery information

If your item hasn’t arrived yet it may still be in transit, so the first thing to do is to check the delivery information. You can find your order’s delivery information in your Order history. You’ll be able see the item’s expected delivery date, and the address it’s being shipped to.

What to do if your item is being delivered to the wrong address

If the shipping address you provided during checkout is incorrect, Contact the seller on the order’s delivery information page and see if they have cancelled the order. They can then relist the item for you to re-order in your account page with the correct address.

If the seller has already shipped the item, they won’t be able to change the shipping address. If possible, we recommend trying to collect your package from the original address.

If the product you received arrived damaged, doesn’t match the listing description, or if it’s the wrong product, you’re covered under the Boleum Marketplace Money Back Guarantee. You can return it.

If you no longer want an product, you’ll be able to see Boleum Marketplace return & refund policy, how long you have to request a return, and any other conditions. You can check the listing by selecting the product in your order history.

Once you start a return, the seller has 3 business days to resolve your issue. If your problem isn’t solved at the end of those 3 days, you can ask us to step in and help.

Start a return

To start a return, select the product you want to send back from your recent order in your account page, navigate to order, select the product you want to send back then click on refund.

If you’ve asked your seller to help with a problem and they’re not able to resolve it for you within 3 business days, you can ask us to help.

When something goes wrong with an order, most sellers do their best to fix things for you. Sometimes, though, they aren’t able to resolve your issue, or you can’t come to an agreement with them. When this happens, you can ask Boleum Marketplace to step in.

When you can ask Boleum Marketplace to step in

Once you’ve let the seller know there’s an issue with your order, they have 3 business days to make things right. After that, you can ask us to step in.

However, if you and the seller are working on a solution, you don’t need to ask us to step in as soon as the 3 business days are up. Most sellers want to fix problems for their buyers, so if you’re still talking, give them a little longer to figure things out. You have up to 21 days after you start your request to ask us to step in.

Payments

You can pay for your items on Boleum Marketplace with MasterCard.

How to pay with a credit or debit card

  1. Select MasterCard on the checkout page, and enter your card details. We’ll secure your card and won’t share your card details with the seller.
  2. If you’d like us to save the card details for your next purchase, select Remember this card for future orders.
  3. Review your order, including your shipping details.
  4. Select Confirm and pay.

How to pay with bank

  1. Select Bank as payment choice on the checkout page, and enter your card details. We’ll secure your card and won’t share your card details with the seller.
  2. If you’d like us to save the card details for your next purchase, select Remember this card for future orders.
  3. Review your order, including your shipping details.
  4. Select Confirm and pay.

You can go to checkout on Boleum Marketplace in a number of ways. If you have products in your shopping cart, select Go to checkout.

If you’ve already submitted an RFQ and seller has sent you a proposal, you can choose accept or reject it, select Pay Now or Checkout in your Order history, or click the link in your order confirmation email.

How to pay for a product at checkout

Here’s how to complete your order:

  1. Choose your payment method and enter any required information.
  2. We’ll show your primary shipping address, but if you want the item sent somewhere else, select Change. You can then either select another address you’ve used before or select Add a new address.
  3. Check that the item shown is the right one.
  4. Select a shipping option.
  5. Select Pay now

or Pay for accepted proposal

  1. Choose your payment method and enter any required information.
  2. Select Pay now

Earning Boleum Marketplace Cashbacks

When you sign up for Boleum Marketplace you get the sum of ₦1,000 and you can use it to pay for a product you buy from us or from our seller’s, you’ll receive a percentage of the qualifying item’s purchase price as Boleum Marketplace cashback for ordering and buying the product.

Boleum Marketplace cashback are collected when buying a product.

You can earn:

  • up to ₦5,000 in Boleum Marketplace cashback per transaction (regardless of how many items are in the transaction)
  • up to ₦100,000 in Boleum Marketplace cashback earning depending on the amount of products you purchase

Shipment Tracking

You can follow your package online all the way to your shipping address when the seller sends you a tracking information.

If your seller is using a tracked shipping service, you’ll be able to view carrier information as well as your order’s current location. If your item isn’t sent with tracking, you’ll be able to see the expected delivery date for your package.

Estimated delivery dates let you know when you can expect a Boleum Marketplace product to arrive.

Where to find your estimated delivery date

You can find an estimated delivery date on any Boleum Marketplace listings. The estimate will usually cover a range of days, but it can get more precise after you confirm your delivery address during dialogues with the seller after successfully submitting an RFQ.

After completing your order, you’ll see an estimate in your order history and along with any tracking information mailed by your seller.

How estimated delivery dates are calculated

Estimated delivery dates are based on:

  • Handling time: Sellers set their handling time based on how long it takes them to package the item and prepare it for shipping. This can range from the same working day, to up to 30 business days from when they receive payment regardless we urge seller to ship their products within same working day up to 7 working days if they don’t ship to a very far distance.
  • Shipping or courier services: Most sellers uses some courier so buyer should liaise with  seller on the type of shipping services they use. Delivery times can vary depending on which service is used
  • Cleared payment: If you have paid for the product the seller may wait until the payment is in their account before they send your item.

You can find out how much shipping costs in the shipping section of every Boleum Marketplace listing on checkout. We always show the shipping cost separately from the product cost so you can see exactly how much you’ll pay for delivery before you procced to submit RFQ or Purchase.

If you’ve already completed your order but need to make a change to your address or shipping details, contact the seller as soon as possible to let them know.

If the seller has already sent your package, they won’t be able to make changes to your order. If possible, you should try to collect your product from the address used at checkout.

Changing your shipping address after you’ve paid

Sellers generally can’t change the shipping address that you provided at checkout. If they haven’t yet sent the product, the best thing to do is to ask the seller to cancel the transaction, then buy the product again with the correct shipping address.

If you made your purchase in the last hour, you can cancel the order yourself. We’ll ask the seller to confirm that they haven’t sent the product yet.

If it’s been more than an hour since your order, you’ll need to contact the seller and ask them to cancel it for you. Here’s how:

  1. Go to Order history, and find the order you want to cancel.
  2. Click Cancel Order.

Many sellers offer free local pickup, especially for large products which may be difficult to ship. You can collect the product in person, inspect it before you take it and save money by not having to pay for shipping.

When buying from an international seller, keep in mind that shipping can sometimes take longer and cost more than buying from a seller in your own country. If you have any questions about shipping, contact the seller before you go to checkout.

Where to find the cost of international shipping

You’ll find the estimated cost of shipping in the Shipping and payments section of every Boleum Marketplace listing in checkout. You’ll also see the shipping service the seller offers and where the product will be sent from.

Listings also include an estimate of customs and import charges, if applicable. The charges you see on the listing aren’t final until you pay for the item at checkout. For example, if you change your delivery address during checkout, or if the applicable import rules change before you complete your payment, the charges could change.

The final cost you’ll need to pay to have your product delivered will be confirmed at checkout.

Finding Items & Managing Purchases

You’ll find all your orders from the past three(3)years in your order history. It’s also the place to go if you need to return an item, pay for your approved RFQ’s, or view your order details

If you’ve used our range of filters on your search and still can’t find what you’re looking for, try advanced search.

With advanced search you can filters by typing product name, brand name, or category name, to the search input field to find exactly what you’re after.

How to use advanced search

Advanced search lets you narrow down your results, whether you’re looking for an item or a store.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Go to Boleum Marketplace advance search and search for any thing you are looking for.

You’ll receive an order number every time you make an order on Boleum Marketplace.

You’ll need your order number if you ever need to speak to us or your seller about an order. You’ll find the 6-12-apha-numeric order number in the following places:

  • Your order details
  • Your order history
  • Your order confirmation email

Where to find your order details

You can find all the information about an order, including shipping address, order number which can be used for tracking also, in your order details. Follow these steps to find your order details:

  1. Select Order History.
  2. Find your product in the list.
  3. Select View order details.

From here, you’ll also be able to let us know if the product hasn’t arrived on time, or start a return if there’s something wrong.

Your order confirmation email

Every time you make an order on Boleum Marketplace, you’ll receive an order confirmation email letting you know your quote for RFQ is successful or your payment was successful and that your product should soon be on its way.

Your order confirmation email will contain your estimated delivery date, any available tracking information (which is your billing email and order number), and your order number.

You can find listings you’ve browsed lately in your recently viewed items. However, if the listing isn’t there, the item may have been ordered, or we needed to remove the listing.

If you can’t find a listing you saw earlier, you can try:

  • Scrolling further down the search results page
  • Entering some slightly different keywords
  • Using advanced search

How to find your recently viewed products

You can find your recently viewed products in the following places on Boleum Marketplace:

  • Go to Boleum Marketplace Home Page in the top right-hand corner and select Recently viewed 
  • Select Your Recently Viewed Items on the homepage
  • Under Your Recently Viewed Items on the left-hand side of the mobile menu

If you have your eye on something but are not quite ready to commit, you can add it to your Watchlist while you make up your mind.

You can add up to 500 products to your Watchlist, so you don’t have to worry about losing track of products you’re considering buying. You’re under no obligation to buy products on your Watchlist, but keep in mind that other members can still buy the items you’re wishing to buy.

How to use your Wishlist

  • Add a product: Select Add to Wishlist beneath the buying options on the listing
  • View your Watchlist: Go to Boleum Marketplace and select the heart icon at the top of the page
  • Remove a product: Simply tick the box beside each item and select Delete.
  • Date wished: when a product is added to Wishlist, buyer can see the date they added a particular product to their Wishlist.
  • Custom name for Wishlist: click on the title “Wishlist” to change to any name of your choice

Feedbacks

You can find all of the feedback you’ve left for sellers in product page in review tab. From there, you can also follow up, make changes, or add comments to feedback you’ve left.

When you leave feedback, you’re letting others know about your buying experience with a seller. If the seller doesn’t believe the feedback was fair, they may dispute it.

You can find the best and most reputable sellers on our marketplace by looking at their seller rating, feedback score, and the number of  RFQ items(product) they’ve sold.

Buying Limits

To make sure buyers don’t submit RFQ more than they’re comfortable with, So we place a limits on a member’s buying activity for only one seller at a time.

Working With Sellers

You can contact a seller on our marketplace from their seller store page but it depends on whether you’ve already bought an item from them or not.

We created policies to make sure our marketplace is a safe place to buy and sell. If you have a problem with a seller because they’re not following our policies, let us know and we’ll look into it

Keeping our members safe is a top priority for us, so we have zero tolerance for fraud on our marketplace. If you spot something suspicious, let us know.
